Some people wonder what's the difference between viola and violin. Well, I have mentioned the facts about violin earlier. So now, i'll discuss mostly about viola.
Viola and violin are played in a similar manner.
Violas are larger than violins and have a deeper, mellower sound. So when we're playing viola, we have to put our fingers slightly farther than on the violin. Violas also have thicker and heavier strings and heftier bows.

Violas are the second highest pitched instruments in the string family. Violins are the highest pitched instruments, theirs sound carries above other instruments making them popular for melody parts.
There is no standard size for a viola. The body of viola is typically 38cm and 43cm long. However, violin bows are 1cm longer than viola bows.
Viola bows generally weigh anywhere from 69grams to 74grams. They're 10grams heavier than violin bows. We can distinguish violin bows and viola bows by the frog. The frog is the part of the bow that is held in hand. Viola bows have a rounded frog, and violin bows have a pointed frog.

Another major difference in playing viola is the use of alto clef, which uses the C clef. The alto clef is rarely used by other instruments. Alto clef is easy to read(with a bit of practice ofc) once you know that the center line on the music staff is middle C.
Viola strings are normally tuned to C3, G3, D4, and A4. A viola is tuned exactly one fifth below the violin.
Violin strings are tuned to G3, D4, A4, and E5. Its pitch range from G3 to C8, the highest note on a modern piano.

The viola has a range of over 3 and a half octaves, depending on the talent of the player.
